Dana White: Nate Diaz will fight the winner of the Henderson vs. Edgar bout.
UFC President Dana White told FUEL TV in an interview after the weigh-ins that the there's one guy fighting for the title after this one and his name isn't Henderson or Edgar."Nate Diaz will fight the winner," he said.Diaz was promised a title shot after he impressively laid waste to Jim Miller in the main event of the UFC on Fox 3 event back on May 5 in New Jersey. Perhaps that's part of the reason White is so steadfast in his getting the next crack at the crown.Still, these are welcome comments from White if only because it means saving fight fans from yet another rematch atop the 155-pound division featuring Frankie Edgar.

UFC president Dana White to hammer out a new deal with Nate Diaz.
Manager Cesar Gracie met on Monday with UFC president Dana White to hammer out a new deal with Nate Diaz and discuss the future of his brother, Nick Diaz.
Although White on Monday tweeted that a new deal was done for Diaz, who had one fight remaining on his previous contract, Gracie today told MMAjunkie.com that the sides haven't agreed on a number of fights.
"We agreed with the principles of it," he said. "Usually, we do four-fight deals, and they want a longer contract."

Kosheck injured, out of UFC 151 co-main event
With less than four weeks until fight night (Sept. 1, 2012), UFC 151 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, is without a co-main event thanks to a bulging disc in Josh Koscheck's back that has forced his removal from the pay-per-view (PPV) event."UFC Tonight" revealed the bad news via Twitter.com, adding that his scheduled opponent, Jake Ellenberger, is awaiting a new dance partner. However, he most likely won't have the same high-profile name recognition as "Kos," nor the ability to talk trash to promote a fist fight.Koscheck, one of the toughest and most experienced fighters in the 170-pound division, has recently been making fiery headlines with his loose lips, saying that he hopes his former training facility, American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), "burns to the ground."

Silva considering moving to Welterweight.
Here's one way to solve the 185-pound problem the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is having -- have the champion vacate the title and move down to become a 170-pound problem. That's apparently a move Middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva is considering now that the list of contenders in the weight class he's owned for six years now is less than appetizing. During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed a conversation he had with higher ups at the UFC who told him he could reveal a few possibilities that could play themselves out in the future, likely sometime next year. This is all subject to change, of course, but apparently, "The Spider" is kicking around the notion of vacating the middleweight title and moving down to welterweight to challenge division champion Georges St. Pierre for a superfight we know the promotion is already hoping to put together assuming "Rush" is able to defeat Carlos Condit when they tussle at UFC 154 in November. That would free up the middleweight strap to a whole host of contenders who would no longer be under the long shadow cast by Silva, the greatest pound-for-pound fighter of all time.
